If you have created a bot in TARS’ bot builder till now, you will know that there are two ways you can share your bot. We provide you with a creating a convbot link that you can share with people directly. Or use the html code to put a chat button on your website that opens the bot in a new tab when clicked on.
After listening to your feedback, we have come to realise that this second method of deployment(the button) is not ideal on desktop websites. Many people do not want the bot to open up in a new tab on desktop. As such, we have tweaked it.
Now when you press the chat button on a desktop website it opens up as a widget instead. Check it out:
You can try out the example on our website over here (click on bot image on the bottom left) but do note, on mobile websites, pressing the button will still open the bot in a new tab.
